Michigan’s latest unemployment rate

Yesterday, various news outlets reported Michigan’s unemployment rate had reached a new high in May: 14.1 percent. A large rise from April’s 12.9 percent.

Of course, this was attributed to automotive industry conditions.

However, as a Crain’s Detroit Business blog mentioned yesterday, forecasts about how high our unemployment rate will go this year are less revelant to those of us who are already unemployed.
